Today I have been finishing off and touching up on everthing that needs to be finished. I have now finished it and now in my planning folder I have got: a double page spread analysis, a mind map of genres of music, two magazine front cover analysis, a picture board of photos taken on the school camera and evaluation of the picture board and a design of my school front cover magazine and design of the contents page. Also before, the picture borad was not coming up when I opened it, so I replaced it with a copy from my memory stick and now it opens.

Today I have been finishing off my School Prelim Magazine front cover. I have added new texts and edited the layout using photoshop. I also put stronger drop shadows on the texts to make them stand out more.

I also Finished mt Contents Pages for my School Prelim Magazine. It is just a loutout design of what a contents page for this magazine could look like if I was actually going to design it.

Today I have finished all my music magazine task including my front cover, contents page and double page spread. I used photoshop workshop to create my front cover and contents page designs. I planned a photo shoot which I held in the lighting room at school. Most of these pictures are the pictures featured in all of my music magazine. My double page spread was designed on the 'indesign' program. It took a little while to get used to after using photoshop for a while but It was fine after a while. I am really happy with what my double page spread looks like at the moment. I was really happy and proud of my front cover because I worked really hard on it. It turned out to look very nice and I think the Images and fonts (and colours) go together really well. My contents page I was happy with too, but if elt i could do a little bit more to it, so i added a few paint splatters to fill the page out a bit more, and also make it look a bit more interesting. My double page spread turned out good too. At first it looked very empty and boring, but, with Help from my teacher, i turned into an interesting page. I liked the fonts and i think the images worked really well together.
This is what my magazine looks like:

Photoshop is the programme we used to create our front cover and contents pages for our music magazine. The different icons are helpful to create different effects, crop and resize pictures, and text and symbols and more. On the top right hand corner there is a little box which will show your work of the whole page design for you to see. For my front cover, I used the shape tool a lot to make my magazine look fuller. I also used the rubbing out tool to outline the edges of some of the images I used for my front cover. I used the tools to add outer glows and drop shadows on my texts to make them stand out so they dont look flat against the page.
USING INDESIGN

Indesign workshop is similar to the Photoshop software. Most of the tools are the same. They can make shapes, create text boxes, draw, rub out, add colour, rotate images and more. The only draw back of indesign workshop is that to make to images bigger, you have to press 'cmd shift' for the images to resize otherwise some of the image just gets chopped off. I also used the magnify tool to get in closer to the page and ee what needs to be corrrected. Overall, using indesign to create my double page spread was good and I would use it again for future peices of work.
